Our Founder
Shri Banwarilal Kamboj (born on 22nd May 1930) in Amritsar. In 1956, under the banner of "Banwarilal & Company", Shri Banwarilal started his gems and jewellery business. In the year 1970, under the same banner he expanded his business and shifted to Varanasi (Uttar Pradesh).
His dream was to make an empire where the business of gems and jewellery could achieve a great height in the market. He used to believe in ethical business practices and ensures to do the right thing. He used to set a principle where norms, values, ethical practices and morals are followed. He initiated many social causes in 80’s and 90’s and has worked for rural development in Uttar Pradesh. His main vision was to see India as world leader.
His mission in life was to establish a business which had different ventures. His moto in life was to grow his business as well as social upliftment.
But, unfortunately he left us on 8thMarch 2000leaving behind a legacy to his successors.
Later, Mr. Mohit Kamboj aka Bharatiya who joined the business in 2005. To expand his vision he migrated to Mumbai. On 17th February 2005, inspired by his grandfather Shri. Banwarilal Kamboj, Mr. Kamboj launched “KBJ Jewellery” his new venture in the jewellery industry. Mr. Kamboj with his efficient team work and effective leadership took “KBJ Group” to such a great height by making it a well-known brand in the various industry.
In the year 2018, due to social responsibilities Mr. Mohit Kamboj resigned from KBJ Group and handed over the charge to professional management.
In 2021, Mrs. Aksha Kamboj wife of Mr. Mohit Kamboj took over the charge of KBJ Group as Executive Director. Presently, Aksha Kamboj has became an active member of the management and administration in family-owned businessKBJ Groupspread in diverse sectors, from Jewellery to real estate to hospitality and entertainment.
After devoting the past 12 years of her life to take care of her children, Aksha Kamboj is expanding her area of responsibility with her recent professional stint. She holds a PG Diploma in Event Management and Advertising which will prove to be beneficial for her role as a board member in the management of KBJ Group.
Aksha Kamboj believes that women must live their lives to the fullest and should be given opportunities to explore their interests and potential. She plans to use her patience as a mother of two young kids and her eye for detail and precision to the benefit of KBJ Group in her new role in the firm. Aksha Kamboj also opines that both parents working as well as giving time and attention at home will also make them inspiring role models for their children.
